2004 Underclass National Showcase
Andrew Boorse -- Boorse is a junior catcher from Pennsylvania with an athletic 6-0 frame and good present strength. He has the aluminum bat no load, no stride approach at the plate but did a very good job of making solid contact in batting practice and against live pitching. If Boorse can take his present bat quickness and bat head control and get his lower half more involved, he could develop into a top hitter at the college level. Boorse’s catching skills, and especially his arm strength, are still on the developing side, but he shows lots of natural ability. He is an outstanding student.
