McCoy Pace is a 2009 OF/1B with a 5'10'', 165 lb. frame from Meridian, Idaho, who attends Meridian High School. Pace is a young player with a lean and projectable frame. He has solid speed in the sixty (7.19) and in the field. Defensively he shows arm speed from the outfield, and he gets solid carry on his throws at 73 mph. His throws are also accurate, and he gets to the ball well. At the plate he is a right handed hitter who hits from a slightly closed stance. He has a slight hand hitch, but he gets his hands in the proper hitting position. He is a line drive hitter with a flat bat path. Pace shows bat speed through the zone. Once on the bases he runs well getting good jumps and the ability to steal bases. His game speed is quicker than his sixty time might suggest. He is also a good student.
