2004 West Coast Top Prospect Showcase
George is a 2005 grad from Huntington Beach High School in Southern California. He stands 6'2" and 205 lbs with a big boned strong body. On the mound George shows an even tempo delivery with a good finish that enables him to easily repeat his release point. He showed a 77-78 fastball today and was able to command it well and keep it down in the zone. George's curve has some good action to it, at 68-69 mph with good depth at times. He also showed a 70-73 mph change up. He commanded the strike zone today and showed good mound presence. George is a good looking young pitcher who should do very well at his present level and compete in college.
