Greg Fontenot is a 2007 SS/2B with a 5'11'', 150 lb. frame from Scott LA, who attends Acadiana. Greg has a slender body with a lean build. Greg has good footspeed (7.12) and it transfers to the way he moves around on the infield defensively. Greg has sound sure hands defensively and has a quick transfer and release. At the plate, Greg starts with his feet shoulder width apart and keeps his head down well through his swing. He stays balanced through his swing and really attacks the ball. Greg has a short swing and swings through the ball well. Greg looks to hit the ball from gap to gap and has solid pop. Greg is a very scrappy player who hustles all over the field. Greg is a solid young prospect and a good student.
