2011 Pitcher/Catcher Indoor Showcase
Joseph Flattery is a 2009 LHP with a 6-4 195 lb. frame from Fort Dodge, IA who attends Iowa Central CC. Long lean build, very good pitcher's frame. Simple leg raise delivery, good balance and direction, arm is loose and easy, some backside collapse costs angle to the plate. Mid 80's fastball topped at 88 mph, mostly straight. Big breaking hard curveball his best pitch, good sharpness, late biting action, good depth, commands CB well, dominates left handed hitters with CB but rarely throws to right handed hitters. Rare change up. Needs a pitch for RHH'ers at the next level. Very good student. Signed with Kansas State.
