Mike Goetz is a 2008 3B/1B with a 6'0'', 215 lb. frame from Fort Worth, TX who attends Paschal - Fort Worth. Mike hits from a square stance with a low crouch, and shows good bat speed with pop. His hands work nice and easy, and he hit balls hard to LF and LCF and centered the barrel well. He took a very impressive round of batting practice, hitting a line drive homerun off of the scoreboard in left center field. He consistently drove to ball deep into that gap. He has an aggressive approach at the plate and will turn on anything on the inner half of the plate. He has a big frame with wide shoulders, and present strength throughout. Defensively, he has good hands, and makes a good exchange at third base. He has a very good defensive approach and is accurate with his throw across the infield when he stays down and comes through the ball.
