Lord is a 5-11 infielder from Virginia with a nice athletic frame. He ran the 60 in 7.87 while throwing 70 mph during infield drills. He profiles best at third base on defense. Lord did not take batting practice, which makes it difficult to fully judge his hitting ability. During games he hit from an open stance and hit the ball consistently to the opposite field. Lord also threw a couple of innings in relief. He has a minimum effort delivery with good use of his lower half. His fastball was 73-75 mph with a nice 64-66 mph curveball and it looked like he should add to his velocity as he gets stronger. Lord is a very good student as well.
