Jacob Fenoglio is a 2006 RHP/SS/3B/2B/1B from St. Charles North High School in St. Charles, IL, with a 6'0'', 175 lb. frame. On the mound he throws from a high 3/4 arm slot with solid arm speed. His fastball topped out at 80 mph and he worked from 78-80. He drops down at times to give the hitters a different look and get more life on his fastball. Fenoglio has solid secondary pitches, topped by his 11 to 5 curveball with depth and late break. He also mixes in a 75 mph slider and a 70 mph changeup. Fenoglio has a good feel for all four pitches and shows good control. Defensively he has solid arm strength with range in the middle of the field and body control. He is a right handed hitter who hits from a crouched stance with a quick bat. He shows surprising pop to the pull side, and has a line drive swing plane. Fenoglio has a good eye and is a patient hitter who battles at the plate. He is also a very good student.
