2004 West Coast Top Prospect Showcase
Jason is a 2005 grad from Archbishop Riordan High School in South San Francisco. He has a strong, mature frame. On the mound he shows an aggressive delivery with some good arm speed and looseness out front. Jason has a compact arm action in back with a 3/4 arm slot. His fastball topped out at 84 mph with a 66-68 curveball that has some good downward spin and bite to it. Jason's arm looseness and strength gives you reason to believe that he could add velocity and power to his pitches in the future. He also shows a quality feel for his change with some nice downward movement. Overall, Jason is a strong, athlete with three good pitches and the ability to use them in the strike zone. He should be a solid pitcher at the college level. Jason is a good student
