2003 South Underclass Showcase
Simmons is a Sophomore with some strong aspects to his game. He can play the outfield well and showed a good arm from right field. He also swings a wood bat with some nice bat-speed and power potential. He has a strong 190 pound frame and showed some stength with his throw from right field, using a solid approach to the ball and making the transfers quickly. At the plate he displayed some good hard hitting line drives to left field. He swings hard and hits the ball hard with regularity. He has a couple of years to go in High School and he's an excellent student.
