Kevin DeRue is a 2010 RHP/3B with a 5'11'', 155 lb. frame from Hainesville, IL who attends Grayslake Central. Lean athletic build, room to fill out some, long loose arm action on the mound, clean low effort delivery, commands fastball well, 11 to 5 curveball, good cutting action to fastball, feel for changing speeds, knows how to pitch, really competes well, line-drive swing plane, extension out front, shows bat speed, keeps weight back well, soft hands in the field, solid actions, good student.
