2004 Underclass National Showcase
John Botelho -- Betelho is a "05" C/3B from Massachusetts. At 5'9/190 he is a bit too big right now and needs to tone up his body. This would help in all areas of his skills. He didn't show impressive arm strength, but he had enough quickness to register a 2.2 pop time. He has a contact type approach at the plate and showed he can put the ball in play. He showed hand strength, some bat speed at times. He battled hard against some good pitching. If he works hard on getting into top physical shape his game will be rewarded.
