Josh Strickland is a 5'8" right handed hitting 2006 catcher from Decatur, AL. He showed a different approach from batting practice to the games at the plate, first hitting with a contact oriented inside out swing in BP, but hitting more open with an aggressive, front foot, pull oriented approach in games. Strickland does some things very well with the bat and centers the ball consistently, but would definitely benefit from more hand and upper body strength. He showed some good arm strength and quickness behind the plate. Josh is a good student.
