Hansloven is a 6 foot 5, 215 pound right-handed pitcher that is going to get some attention from Colleges in the Northwest. He has a big frame and attractive pitchers build. His arm works ok but he did show more effort than we think he needs to. Coming from a 3/4 arm slot, Hansloven steps slightly across his body and needed to fight against that to throw more strikes with less effort. If he strides straight and lengthens out his release we see him throwing easily in the upper 80's. As it was, he showed an 84-86 mph fastball, a good 75-77 mph curveball on a 2-plane angle and a 69-71 mph change-up. He slowed his arm on the off-speed and did not show a consistent release point, so when he gets time with a College level pitching Coach we think his progress could be outstanding and he could be a 90 mph pitcher with draft ability.
