Rosenberg is a 5-10, 175 lb junior right handed pitcher from Illinois with a live, athletic build. He topped out at 78 mph on his fastball from a free wheeling delivery that leaves him open very early before release. As a result many of Rosenberg’s fastballs have good cutting action as he comes around the ball on release, almost like a slider. Rosenberg also threw a low 60’s curveball that had a big sweeping action to it. He threw strikes with both pitches, mixed things up and was effective. Rosenberg plays third base when not pitching and showed some pop in his bat during batting practice. We did notice that Rosenberg has a lot of fun playing the game and is an excellent competitor.
