Joseph Bristyan is a 2008 OF/P with a 5'9'', 150 lb. frame from Scottsdale, AZ, who attends Horizon HS. Bristyan has a lean and athletic frame, and he is a fun player to watch. He has good speed in the sixty (6.87) and he shows quickness on the bases and in the field. Defensively he moves very well in the outfield with fluid movements, and he reads balls off the bat well allowing him to get good jumps. Bristyan has a quick release with online carry to his throws that are very accurate. At the plate he is a left handed hitter with a nice approach. He has a quick bat with a compact swing. Bristyan is a line drive hitter that can flat out hit. He centers the ball well and he has the ability to hit to all fields. He is a nice lead-off type hitter. On the mound he throws from a 3/4 arm slot with a nice arm action. His change-up is his best pitch with good fade. He has a good idea on the mound and he throws strikes. Bristyan does everything well, and he is a good student as well.
