Joshua Haney is a 2005 OF/2B from Fairburn, Georgia, with a strong and athletic 5'10", 185 lb. frame. Haney has the athleticism and quickness to play the outfield with good range. His quickness and arm may actually be better suited for 2B, his secondary position. Offensively, he is a right handed hitter who hits from a slightly open stance with very good bat speed and a good approach. Haney made solid contact in batting practice as well as showcase games. He showed the ability to use the entire field, and stayed balanced during his swing. Haney is a top hitting prospect. His speed (6.77-sixty, 4.21 home to 1B) is an asset defensively and on the bases. Haney had good instincts, and showed a good understanding of the game. He is a good student.
