Kendal May is a 2006 catcher/third baseman from Walton High School in Defuniak Springs, FL, with a 5'10", 175 lb. frame. Defensively he has solid pop times on throws to second base with 2.03 being his best. He receives the ball well behind the plate and can handle pitchers. At the plate he is a right handed hitter with a narrow stance and keeps his weight on his back foot. May has a line drive swing plane with solid bat speed. He has a quiet approach and gets his hands through the hitting zone. He is currently a contact hitter, but could develop more strength in his swing if he could get leveraged at the point of contact. May is also a good student.
