Kevin Nelson: Nelson is a 5-6 middle infielder from the Class of 2006 from Sunrise, FL. He showed very good defensive skills both during drills and during the showcase games. Nelson’s hands are quick, soft and sure, his footwork balanced and his release quick and short. He can make the plays in the middle of the field. His size and age don’t favor him with the bat yet, though. He has a long wrap with the wood bat and isn’t quite strong enough yet, to get the barrel through right now. Follow him on his defensive ability and that he’ll get stronger and shorten his swing. He can play and Kevin is a good student.
