Landon Chester -- Chester, a LHP, has a well proportioned 6-4, 180 lb. body with long limbs and square shoulders. He throws a 75-78 mph fastball that gets consistent tailing action away from right handers and Chester showed a good ability to work this pitch in and out. Chester’s best pitch is his curveball. He gets tight downer spin at 66-68 mph and can throw this pitch for strikes at will. He also threw a change up at 72. Chester doesn’t have the velocity right now to stand out but he does a number of things pretty well and he’s a 6-4 lefty, so you have to keep a close eye on him. Chester also swung the bat pretty well. Very interesting lefty to follow closely. Landon is a good student.
