Lee Stewart is a big, strong 2005 right handed hitting catcher from North Carolina who looks taller and heavier than his listed 6'1", 198 lbs. He fills out the uniform pretty well. Despite his size, Stewart appears to be a very good athlete. He runs well under way and has some life and hop behind the plate, which enables him to put up good pop times. His arm strength will play also. Stewart’s best tool looks like it’s going to be his power potential. He has the potential to hit some long home runs against good competition with his bat speed and swing. Stewart crushed one ball for a triple off the centerfield fence and hit a long foul ball home run during another at bat and was an intimidating presence in the batter’s box. Stewart plays the game hard in addition to swinging hard, which we also appreciated. He’s a good one for college coaches to follow real closely. Lee is an excellent student.
