Case Nixon is a 2010 C/P with a 6'2'', 185 lb. frame from Tuscaloosa, AL who attends Hillcrest HS. Well proportioned body, athletic build. Very strong arm behind the plate, also showed good agility, ability to shift and has good hands. Pitched from a high 3/4 arm slot, short arm circle, throws downhill, clean mechanics, good hip rotation, athletic delivery, 10 to 4 CB with hard spin, showed that he is a solid pitching prospect as well. Compact swing with quick hands, middle of the field line drive approach, keeps good balance, developing HR power. Up to 93 on the mound in the Metrodome. Could create serious draft interest. Good student, verbal to Alabama.
