Kyle Van Alstine is a 2010 RHP with a 6'4'', 180 lb. frame from Merritt Island, FL who attends Merritt Island HS. Long and lean projectable athletic build. Hard arm/leg raise delivery, long sweeping arm action, lots of different release points, down to low 3/4's at times. FB 85-88 mph usually from high release point, drops down on CB, pulls the string effectively but tips at times due to release point, good feel for change up, changes speeds well, works the strike zone. Tools to develop. Question is if he will develop more as a power RHP or more as a finesse guy. Very good student. Verbal to Air Force Academy.

Kyle Van Alstine is a 2010 RHP with a 6'3'', 180 lb. frame from Merritt Island, FL who attends Merritt Island HS. Long, lanky build, very projectable physically. Long, very loose arm action, ball comes out of hand cleanly, low 3/4's release point, lands square and on line. FB 83-86 mph, good life at times, slurvy CB, often on side of CB, nice arm action/arm speed on change up. Commands K zone well with all pitches, very good mound presence, fields his position well. Should keep improving with maturity/strength. Good student.
