Matt McFoiling -- McFolling is a left handed hitting junior outfielder from Illinois. He has good strength but has a high waist and is still very projectable physically. McFolling has good athletic actions and he runs well. His arm strength from the outfield during workouts was very impressive. McFolling has a very busy approach in the batter’s box, with happy feet and a late drop of his hands. It works for him, though, as he showed us some nice things with the bat. McFolling has some power to left centerfield and drove some balls deep in that direction during both batting practice and in games. He also showed the ability both to hang back on breaking pitches and later to get around on 90 mph fastballs. McFolling does a lot of things that are going to make him a very good player at the next level. He’s a good student as well.
