Christopher Rivera is a 2013 SS/RHP/C with a 6-0 180 lb. frame from Fullerton, CA who attends El Dorado HS. Medium athletic build, good present strength. 6.99 runner, very smooth and polished defensive actions at shortstop, circles and works through the ball, quick release, strong on line throws with minimum effort, plus feel for playing defense. Right handed hitter, wide base, hand drop load, quick hands create bat speed, best when hitting out front and pulling, ball jumps hard, line drive contact, gap power, very good baserunning instincts. Also pitched, easy delivery, 3/4's release point, steady 91 mph fastball, topped at 92 mph, throws downhill and to spots, tends to drop elbow on curveball release but creates good spin, has a feel for pitching. Outstanding all around player who knows how to play and plays hard.
