Zachary McCrum is a 2013 RHP/1B with a 6-4 230 lb. frame from Cumming, GA who attends South Forsyth HS. Extra large and strong build, physically mature. Standard leg raise delivery, leans back with pause at top, picks up plate late, deep stabbing arm action, over the top release point. Steady upper 80's fastball, topped at 89 mph, mostly straight, hitters often late on FB, has some deception, tends to miss up in zone with fastball. Primary fastball pitcher, flashed some feel for a change up, rare curveball with soft spin. Development of off speed pitches is key for his future. Good student.

Zachary McCrum is a 2013 RHP/1B/C with a 6-3 230 lb. frame from Cumming, GA who attends South Forsyth HS. Big strong physical build, especially in the lower half. Simple delivery mechanics, lands closed, could get more power from lower half, hides ball well, compact 3/4's arm slot. Mid 80's fastball, good sinking life at times. Tends to shorten arm on curveball but generates tight spin, good depth, rare change up. Works very quickly and pounds the bottom of the zone, has an idea how to pitch. Shows his arm strength catching, 1.97 best pop time, can improve lower half quickness. Right handed hitter, high hands, still start, hits over his backside, long and strong swing with occasional lift. Good student.
