Miguel Sanchez is a 5'9" 173 pound 2007 middle infielder from Archbishop McCarthy High School in Miami, Florida. He has a medium frame that is very thick. Miguel is a switch hitter with similar approaches from both sides of the plate. He has a crouched wide stance with high hands. It seems he is a little quicker from the right side. His hands are quick and he gets the head of the bat to the ball very well. He has good balance and showed good bat speed through the hitting zone. He tracks the ball very well and has power to his pull side. Sanchez has good range in the field and showed nice body control on a slow roller. He has a long arm action and good arm strength. He showed his arm by throwing 77 mph across the infield during the workout. Miguel is also an excellent student with a 4.0 gpa.
