Jose Chapa is a 2012 RHP/MIF with a 6-0 174 lb. frame from Houston, TX who attends Strake Jesuit College Prep. Medium build with some present strength. Balanced delivery, loose arm, varies between 3/4's release and side arm, good running action on side arm fastball, mostly upper 70's velocity, soft spin on curveball from 3/4's release. Right handed hitter, low hand approach, line drive swing plane, all fields. 7.55 runner, soft hands defensively, can work through ball better for better carry on throws. Good student.
