Ty Williams is a 2006 P/1B with a 6'7'', 185 lb. frame from Suwanee GA, who attends Oak Ridge Military Academy. He has a tall, lanky frame that is very projectable. Williams throws with an easy and balanced delivery that is slow and effortless. The ball comes out of his hand very easily and cleanly and gets on hitters quickly. His fastball is pretty straight but Williams' height and his easy delivery create deception for the hitter and make his 83 mph velocity seem quicker. Williams spots his fastball well, especially on the inside half to right handed hitters and has a good downward angle as well. Williams showed a good feel for a 72 mph change up that had nice sinking action. His 69 mph curveball is still developing. Williams has a significant upside as a 6-7 southpaw with good mechanics and an idea how to pitch. He should be followed very closely.
