Patrick Minto is a 2008 C/1B/P with a 6'2", 170 lb frame from Livingston, NJ who attends Seton Hall Prep. Patrick has a lanky projectable build with a good amount of room to fill out. During batting practice Patrick struggled some, but he did show the tools needed to hit. He has the ability to stay inside the ball and square up some pitches. Patrick runs into problems as his swing gets very long and he tends to pull off the ball. Behind the plate Patrick has a very good feel for the game and is very good at blocking ball. He has an accurate arm to go along with a solid release and transfer. On the mound Patrick is fairly raw as a pitcher, but does a solid job of making hitters put the ball in play. Patrick is a player that could attract the attention of some mid-level college programs.
