McClintock is an angular 6-3, 190 lb left handed hitting outfielder from Georgia. He ran the 60 in a quick 7.13 on the wet, slow track and threw an impressive 87 mph from the outfield. He also ran 4.39 to first base. At the plate McClintock has a balanced, sound hitting approach with good bat speed and excellent leverage at the point of contact. He hits the ball consistently hard right now and should keep improving as he adds strength and maturity. McClintock also pitched a couple of innings and is definitely worth following on the mound as well. He generates good drive to the plate with his lower body and is loose and extended out front. His fastball topped out at 86 mph and he showed good tilt on a 68-71 mph curveball with command of both pitches. Overall, McClintock is a well rounded prospect with solid tools in all areas and a potentially bright future both as a position player and as a pitcher. College coaches in the Southeast should be very interested! McClintock is also an excellent student.
