Quinn Finnegan is a 2007 MIF/3B from Plantation HS in Plantation, FL, with a 5'7'', 155 lb. frame. He's a 7.74 runner in the 60 and showed 73 mph arm strength during infield drills. Finnegan has a clean arm stroke and clean easy actions in the field. His tools profile him to second base. At the plate, Finnegan is a switch-hitter who showed us much better skills from the right side of the plate. From the right side he had a short, crisp swing with good balance and quick hands. He uses his hands to hit from the right side and makes solid line drive contact. From the left side Finnegan showed far less bat speed and lacked the ability to drive the ball into the gaps that he showed right handed. From the right side Finnegan was a solid hitting prospect, from the left side he still had some development to do.
