Nick Velasquez is a 2011 C/RHP/SS with a 6-0 180 lb. frame from Katy, TX who attends Cinco Ranch HS. Nice loose athletic frame, should get stronger. Smooth defensive actions, good soft hands, shows arm strength, long release/arm stroke slows pop times, tools to improve defensively. Long easy swing, some hand quickness, line drive plane, all fields, ball comes off well. Also pitched, 81 mph FB, easy smooth arm action. Tools to improve with shorter actions. Good student.
