Douglas Taylor, III is a 2014 1B/3B with a 5-11 220 lb. frame from Fayetteville, NC who attends Fayetteville Academy. Large frame with a strong, mature build. Ran a 7.76 60 yard dash. Moves feet well around first base, both on and off the bag. Has a longer arm action but shows arm strength and accuracy on throws. Big load on throws from left side of infield that carry well to first base. Shows an aggressive approach at the plate from the right side. Works from an open stance with a high, loose hand set and a pull approach. Has good bat speed with lift in swing and makes hard contact. Flashes power, which will continue to develop. Good student.
