Gerard Spiegel is a 2013 RHP with a 6-1 180 lb. frame from Trumbull, CT who attends Trumbull High School. Medium build, lean athlete with room to fill out and add strength. Short stride in delivery, stays upright, short grab in back, tight arm action, throws from 3/4 slot. Very little extension, hides ball well. Has raw arm strength. Downhill plane with fastball. Curveball has short break, also showed curve with bigger shape. Showed changeup as developing third pitch. Raw on mound with present arm strength and projection for more. Excellent student.

Spiegel has a high 3/4 release on the mound, slow paced delivery, medium arm circle, lands closed, needs better direction with lower half, hides ball well, solid arm speed, throws strikes, commands outer half well, 11/5 curve. He dominated hitters at this event and projects to gain more velocity. Definitely a high academic college prospect. He is an excellent student.
