Slow paced drifting delivery, quick compact arm action, hides ball well, tight high 3/4's slot. Steady mid 80's fastball topped at 87 mph, mostly straight with occasional cutting action, flashed some hard spin on his curveball, some feel for change up. Potential two-way prospect, aggressive right handed swing, has bat speed, hard game contact, flashed power potential, 6.86 runner. Very good outfield arm strength, still learning jumps/routes. Good student.

John Gamble is a 2013 RHP/OF with a 5-11 175 lb. frame from Escondido, CA who attends Santa Fe Christian HS. Medium athletic build, looks taller than list. Compact delivery, hands tight with limited arm circle, hides ball, tends to rush to the plate and fall off direction, especially from the stretch. Quick arm, fastball topped out at 88 mph with some arm side running action, gets on hitters quickly. Short breaking slider, didn't see change, needs pitch that changes batter's eye level. Good outfield actions, solid arm strength with accurate throws, same arm action as on mound. Some strength with the bat, mid field line drives. Good student.
