Nick Longhi is a 2013 1B/OF/LHP with a 6-2 212 lb. frame from Venice, FL who attends Venice HS. Strong well proportioned athletic build. Right handed hitter, calm approach with a limited shift, very direct hand path to the ball, creates big power and bat speed from a short approach, best contact to right centerfield, learning to open up and pull the ball, stays balanced and hits through the ball, has tremendous hand and wrist strength, sees the ball very well. Very smooth and polished actions at first base, soft hands, big arm strength, top level first base defensive skills, also looked good in the outfield with similar arm strength and polished actions, can improve straight line running speed. Also pitched, compact arm action, tall cross body delivery, works from the stretch, slow paced delivery. Upper 80's fastball, topped out at 89 mph, mid-70's curveball showed good bite and depth at higher velocities, had some feel and sink for a 77 mph change up. Limited pitching experience but a legit two-way prospect on the mound. Good student, signed with Louisiana State.

Right handed hitter, high hand approach, deep load, explosive hand acceleration, swings hard, line drive plane, hands inside, big power to right centerfield, ball jumps, bat speed, good extension out front, mature pro-type hitting approach. 7.48 runner, very good footwork at first base, soft hands, good feel for the position, can also play left field. Left handed pitcher, short compact arm action, high 3/4's, works downhill, some effort on release, fastball to 87 mph, have seen 90 mph in the past, gets good spin on curveball, some pitchability. Two-way college talent but bat is his big tool. Good student, verbal commitment to Louisiana State.

Nick Longhi is a 2013 1B/LHP/OF with a 6-2 200 lb. frame from Venice, FL who attends Venice HS. Big strong physical build, retains looseness, young look. Right handed hitter/left handed thrower. Excellent raw bat speed, hand hitch start but works through it, open stance, can drive the ball hard to all fields, barrel is fast and whippy through the zone, will get pull happy at times, best with balanced approach, polished hitter with upper level hitting tools. 7.32 runner, lots of arm strength, good hands around 1B, can play corner outfield. Two-way prospect, pitches from the stretch, slow paced delivery, some effort/spin off on release, rotational delivery, 3/4's arm slot, long loose arm action. Fastball to 90 mph, good sink when low, will explode up in zone, curveball lacks ideal power but has good sharpness and 12/6 depth, rare change up. LHP up to 90 but like better as a hitting prospect. Good student. Verbal commitment to Louisiana State. Named to the Top Prospect Team.

Left handed thrower/right handed hitter. 7.36 runner, very smooth and polished defensive actions at first base, soft hands, plus arm. Young outfield actions but accurate arm with carry and sure hands at the ball. Tall narrow stance, upper half swing, limited lower 1/2 use, has strong and quick hands, gets some lift and power when extended, gets hands to inside velocity well, hard line drive contact, should continue to improve with adjustments. Also pitched, fastball to 86 mph with good late life, live arm, tends to drift and rush in delivery, didn't throw a breaking ball. Very versatile player. Good Student.
