Cornell Nixon is a 2013 MIF/RHP with a 5-10 170 lb. frame from Marietta, GA who attends Lassiter HS. Shorter compact build, has some present strength. Quick twitch athlete, 6.56 runner, throws 93 across the infield with long release and effort, much better playing within his envelope, quick feet and balance, has been outstanding at second base in the past, no question centerfield would come naturally, too, middle of the field athlete defensively. Right handed hitter, quick hands, gets barrel out well on velocity, quick and short to the ball, some looseness out front, has the bat speed to drive the ball to the alleys. Also pitched, fastball to 88 mph, showed his arm strength, raw mechanics. Good student, verbal commitment to Kennesaw State.

Very quick and athletic, 6.68 in the 60, first step quickness. Tools to play both shortstop and second base, very good raw arm strength, shows range, exceptional hand quickness at second base, better throwing actions at 2B as well. Right handed hitter, calm open to closed approach, simple repeatable swing mechanics, stays short and direct to the ball, barrels up consistently, has some hand strength/quickness, knows the game and his tools, very aggressive and instinctive on the bases. Also pitched, long arm action, high 3/4's release, touched 87 mph with good CB spin at 70 mph. Good student. Named to the Top Prospect Team.
