Brooks Stephenson is a right handed pitcher from Raleigh, North Carolina, with a lean and wiry 6'1", 150 lb. frame. On the mound he shows a 74-76 mph fastball, 67-68 mph curveball, and a 68 mph change up. Brooks has a herky motion to give some deception, and did a very good job of throwing strikes with all three pitches and getting hitters to swing the bats. Stephenson has a short arm arch on the backside with a high 3/4 release point that works well to get over his curveball and generate some 2-plane break. Brooks would really add to the college coaches interest with more velocity because he looks like he's probably a successful pitcher with good pitchability. He projects to add a lot of strength.
