Montrell Marshall is a 2014 MIF with a 6-4 190 lb. frame from Snellville, GA who attends South Gwinnett HS. Long and lanky build. Very smooth defensive actions, glides easily to the ball at shortstop, very compact and quick release especially considering size, advanced actions charging the ball, excellent body control, not big raw arm strength but playable, plays smoothly and confidently, also played third base and showed very good first step quickness. Right handed hitter, low hand start, short swing for arm length, gets barrel into the zone quickly, consistent hard line drive contact, middle of the field hitter, has bat speed, showed some lift in BP but more line drive in games. Fun player to watch, tons of projection.

Tall slender athletic build, basketball player's look. 7.05 runner, body says outfielder but very good middle infield actions, balanced smooth movements, soft hands, compact quick release, some developing arm strength. Right handed hitter, deep low hand start, strong wrists and hands, swings hard, nice present bat speed, top spins the ball hard, ball jumps, still raw in his timing but tools and bat speed stand out. Very interesting athlete with high ceiling potential.
