Ross Fetterly is a 6'3", 185 lb. pitcher/third baseman from Norfolk, Virginia. He's a very athletic player who could play both ways at many schools. He has an 88 mph fastball, 73 mph curveball, 78 mph slider and a 78 mph change up. Fetterly has good command of all his pitches, and very good life on his fastball from a low 3/4 release point with some cross body action. His curveball shows good tilt and late darting break, and his slider has a different, wider, later break that will have right handed hitters bailing. Fetterly's change up is also a quality pitch that he can't forget to throw with regularity. Ross has a projectable pitcher's body with strong legs and a good frame to build upon and add future velocity. Defensively, he showed solid arm strength (86 mph), and good actions. His range and future size might make him best suited for third base. Fetterly is a right handed hitter with a knee lift trigger and above average bat speed. He tries to lift some balls in batting practice and pulls off, but stays through the ball better against live pitching. He also has plus raw power as well. Ross is a good student.
