Rudy Dell is a 2007 SS/2B from Lake Forest High School in Lake Forest, Illinois, with a 5'9'', 150 lb. frame. Defensively Dell has solid actions with good footwork. He does have a quick transfer and gets rid of the ball quickly. At the plate he is a right handed hitter who hits from a wide base and doesn't take a stride. Dell make consistent line drive contact and shows solid bat speed through the zone. He gets long with his swing at times and he tries to pull the outside pitch. He has the hands to make that minor adjustment and shoot the outside pitch to the opposite field. Dell does have good speed and his game quickness is better than his sixty time might suggest.
