John Sternagel is a 2013 3B/SS with a 6-2 193 lb. frame from Rockledge, FL who attends Rockledge HS. Long and athletic build, good present strength. 7.00 runner, very smooth defensive actions at third base, good lateral range, soft hands, charges very well, plenty of arm strength, can play SS at this level but immediate move to third at next level and will stand out defensively. Right handed hitter, very good bat speed, smooth swing mechanics, aggressive approach, long and easy out front, good leverage at contact, consistently squares up good pitching, mostly pull contact, ball jumps off the barrel. Plays the game easy and always hits. Good student, verbal commitment to Florida.
