Donovan Casey is a 2014 OF/RHP with a 6-1 175 lb. frame from Stratford, NJ who attends Sterling. Large frame, thin build with room to fill. Hits from an open stance with a high hand set, long stride, short to the ball, line drive plane, uses the middle of the field well, aggressive swing, battled well in game at-bats. Strong OF arm, runs well and can cover some ground. Pitches from a high three quarters arm slot with a short arm action, good arm strength, ran fastball up to 85, primary OF who was surprisingly impressive on the mound, may have a future there. 12-6 shape on curveball with depth and feel, good extension out front, would be interesting to see how he'd develop on the mound if he were to make it a priority. Good student.
