Canaan Cropper is a 2013 RHP/3B with a 6-1 190 lb. frame from Salisbury, MD who attends James M Bennett HS. Strong mature athletic build. Low 3/4's arm slot, some times side arm, some cross body to release, arm works well. Low 90's fastball, topped at 92 mph, gets running action to both sides of the plate. Nice change up with big fading action and good arm speed, big sweeping slider, release point not consistent yet. Reliever profile but could develop as starter with better slider and command. Strong arm. Very good student, verbal commitment to South Carolina.
