Kyle Henderson is a 2013 C/1B, 3B with a 6-2 180 lb. frame from Portland, OR who attends Westview. Henderson has a big athletic build with present strength and sloped shoulders, big frame on young player. Straight away stance at the plate, very patient hitter, good pitch recognition. Shows batspeed and his hands work to the ball. Simple swing with projectable power, good exit off his bat. Really loads back and lets his hands fly, gets good leverage from his backside. Sets up and receives well behind the plate, has defensive tools to continue to develop, gets himself going toward the bag on throws. Good student.
