Joseph Bartolomeo is a 2012 OF/RHP with a 6-2 185 lb. frame from Fairfield, CT who attends Fairfield Warde. Lean, athletic player with room to fill out. Good approach and light feet fielding the ball in the outfield. Slow release on throws but is online with carry. Arm strength is average. Slightly closed stance at the plate. Good balance and repeatable swing mechanics at the plate. Comfortable taking the ball to the opposite field. Will benefit from more use of lower half. Threw an inning on the mound with short arm action and very simple mechanics and delivery. Balanced throughout delivery and threw 10/4 curveball at 66 as his off-speed pitch. Very good student.
