Christian Stekl is a 2014 SS/C with a 5-8 130 lb. frame from Marion, IA who attends Marion. Small young athletic build, room to fill. Switch hitting MIF. Low hand set, small leg kick trigger, simple swing mechanics, slightly better feel from the right side of the plate but has narrowed the gap with improvement from left side over the past year. Has focused more on MIF this year after making it his primary position. He is still young and raw in the infield but has improved, moves well defensively, technique is better. Also better behind the plate, but still has a way to go Very good student.

Christian Stekl is a 2014 C/3B, SS with a 5-6 130 lb. frame from Marion, IA who attends Marion. Very young ballplayer more than held his own against tough competition. Switch hitting Catcher showed good swing fundamentals from the right side with surprising strength for his size. Still significantly better from the right side but does show signs that he will develop well from the left side as well. Projects to add power with physical maturity. Showed solid receiving skills behind the plate and also made some good plays in the infield. Interesting young prospect to follow.
