Josh Grubbs is a 2013 3B/RHP with a 6-0 180 lb. frame from Englewood, FL who attends Venice HS. Medium, athletic frame with room to add strength. Good actions on the infield, moves through the ball well. Long arm action with carry across and good accuracy. High hand setup at the plate with toe tap trigger. Aggressive swing with a smooth plane and really quick hands. Hips work with good rotation. Level swing plane that produces line drives to the middle of the field. Showed the ability to pull the ball with authorityWill benefit from better use of lower half in swing. Pitches from 3/4 slot, long arm action with solid arm strength, arm works well with slight arm side run. Balanced delivery, also shows 11/5 curveball with late bite. Excellent student.
