Jesse Roth is a 2013 RHP with a 6-3 185 lb. frame from Oradell, NJ who attends Horace Mann HS. Strong athletic build. Slow paced leg raise delivery, high 3/4's arm slot, high clean arm circle, lands very open on front side. Steady 87-88 mph fastball, will reach back for 90-91 mph every once in a while, fastball straight with good downhill angle. Big soft 71 mph curveball, good downer shape, change up a bit firm at present but shows promise. Works quickly and throws strikes, has pitchability. Very good student, verbal commitment to Virginia.

Jesse Roth is a 2013 RHP with a 6-2 170 lb. frame from Oradell, NJ who attends Horace Mann HS. Slender young build, developing strength. Slow paced leg raise delivery, high 3/4's arm slot, tends to lean off on release, arm works well, could repeat release point better. Steady 85-86 mph fastball, gets good sink down in the zone, aggressive with fastball and throws it to spots, gets lots of ground balls. Slider best secondary pitch, good bite and tilt at times, tends to cast curveball with soft spin and rolling shape, rare change up but with good arm speed, should throw more. Primary fastball pitcher but slider and change up look like solid future pitches. Should continue to improve with adjustments and added strength. Good student.

He throws with an overhand release, arm works nicely, loose and clean mechanics, solid extension to plate, clean finish, ball comes out cleanly, can spin 11/5 curve well, good action, pitch projects, solid feel for change, a bit hard, can rely on fastball more, advanced for age, good follow. Also hit, open stance, contact approach, solid actions in the infield, carry on throws. He is a solid student.
